Sports Cream for Tired Muscles

 

 


A great all natural muscle soother for relief after your daily workout. 

Rub this on your feet and calves before you go to bed for overnight relief. 


Materials Needed:

  • 1/2 cup Sweet Almond Oil
  • 1/2 cup Avocado Oil
  • 1/8 cup of Wheatgerm Oil.
  • 1    Tsp Rosemary Essential Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 3/4 Tsp Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1/2 Cup beeswax.  (White or natural) 


How to Make:    

Using a double boiler, melt 1/2 cup of beeswax,  the add all the other ingredients and stir until all are melted and well mixed.   +_ 15 minutes. 

Once melted remove from the stove and pour into glass containers.  They should be heat resistant. 

Let the cream solidify  ( about 1 hour)  

Then ready to apply.  


NB.  Preservative is not needed as you have not used any water. 

Shelf Life : +- 12 Months.   The oils will eventually go rancid.  This will keep longer than 12 months if stored in a cool place out of any direct sunlight. 


There are many essential oils for muscle soreness and skin health. 

You can substitute the oils below to make your own unique blend.

  • Frankincense
  • Lavender
  • Geranium
  • Chamomile
  • Eucalyptus 
  • Peppermint
  • Marjoram
  • Rosemary

 

For common topical use, a 2% essential oil dilution is considered safe for most oils on adults. 

Some people are more sensitive to oils than others, so always make sure to test a small area of your 

skin first!
