RESTORATIVE SLUMBER
Sleep allows us to renew and repair ourselves physically, spiritually and emotionally. Many of us constantly suffer from sleep deprivation to some extent. Insomnia and chronic tiredness can have multiple causes, including acute tension, anxiety, depression, poor breathing habits, a high caffeine intake, dehydration, dietary issues, eating very late, lack of exercise or fresh air.
It is possible to resolve many of these issue and re energize your system just by making a few simple changes to your lifestyle.
Massage and aroma baths help you to relax and restore sleep patterns as they ease anxiety and loosen muscular tension. Oils can be vaporized or added to potpourri to aid relaxation and restful sleep.
TRY dripping a little essence onto a cotton wool ball and placing this inside your pillow or make the bed using scented sheets. Just add 3- 6 drops of EO to the fabric softer.
Some Blends to Try:
1 tsp sweet almond oil add to your bath.
For Depression : 8 drops of Lavender, 1 Drop of Neroli and 1 Drop of Rose Essential Oil.
For Emotional Anxiety : 4 Drops Frankincense, 2 Drops Camomile and 1 Drop Neroli Essential Oil
For Chronic Tension : ( unable to relax) 7 Drops of Lavender, 2 Drops of Ylang Ylang and 1 Drop of Chamomile.
Did you Know ? Essential oils can by vaporized in molten wax. Burning a small candle in a tin until a pool of wax has formed. Add a few drops of your chosen EO to the liquid wax. Relight the candle.
As the candle burns, the essential oils aroma is released into the air. ( Do not drop the EO onto the wick - keep it in the wax. )
