 Shaving soap softens and lifts the beard for a close and comfortable shave. 

 The soap offers extra glide, lubrication and protection to the skin from irritation and razor burn.

 A good quality shaving soap leaves the skin feeling ultra-smooth and moisturised.

 Shaving soaps help to soften the beard before shaving. This allows the razor to cut the beard more 

easily which results in a closer and more comfortable shave. A shaving soap also offers a very slick 

surface for the razor to glide across.

There is nothing like using the best essential oil for razor burn that will make your shaving 

experience more comfortable and luxurious.

 
Top 10 Essential oils that are the most beneficial for shaving.  You can use any of these on their 
own or you can make a blend.  

  • Grapefruit   Essential Oil.    Kills bacteria and keeps skin smooth and clear.
  • Eucalyptus  Essential Oil.    Gets rid of Beard Ruff.
  • Grapeseed oil                       Prevents skin irritations after shaving.        
  • Lavender  Essential Oil.       Lessens acne, Gives the skin and even tone and reduces wrinkles
  • Rosemary  Essential Oil.     Reduces skin inflammation and gives the skin a healthy glow.
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil.        Reduces dead skin cells and minimizes bacterial growth
  • Sandalwood Essential Oil.  Prevents inflammation
  • Vanilla Oil.                            Prevents Sun Damage and fights free radicals.
  • Lime Essential Oil               Cleans and prevents acne breakouts
  • Peppermint Essential Oil     Promotes hair growth and cleans
  • Crocodile Oil                         Remedies ingrowing hairs

 

   To Make  2 Bars of Simple Shaving Soap :  +_ 150 gms each

           300 gms   White melt and pour Soap B

           15 drops Sandalwood  Essential Oil   

           10 drops Vanilla Oil

            2 drops Lavender Essential Oil

            1 tsp Bentonite Clay.

            5 drops Grapeseed Oil

            Alcohol Spritz Spray


           Cut the soap base into thin slices.  Place in a glass jug and microwave until melted.  

          Add the Grapeseed oil and stir until well mixed.   Add the Bentonite Clay.  Mix well making

          sure there are no lumps.     

         Add the Essential oils.   ( you can use fragrance oil.  NB. Fragrance oils have no beneficial skin 

         care benefits like the Essential oils have).   You can also mix fragrances and essential oils. 

        The lavender will help to bind the other fragrances and should be added to any combination of 

        essential oils


         Pour the melted soap mixture into a mug or a mould and lightly spritz with the alcohol spray to

        give the top a nice finish.   


       Cool and you can then unmould the bar or cover the mug.  Be creative with your wrapping or 

       covering for the mug.  Create your own branded label.  This will make a lovely gift for a man.


      You can use the same recipe and experiment with the essential oils and fragrances to create your 

      own unique Shaving Soap Blend.
