MASSAGE OILS - MUSCLES, CONGESTION, EXERCISE

 Enliven Body & Mind

After Exercise Massage Oil 

To help reduce any inflammation or muscle spasm and reduce stiffness,   make this blend. 

4 tsp sweet almond oil or any other carrier oil you like using.  

4 drops cypress EO

2 drops  lemon EO

2 drops  rosemary  EO

1 drop eucalyptus EO


Muscle Strain Cold Compress

For strained muscles,  add 1 drop of  peppermint EO to a bowl of ice water and agitate.   Place a cloth in the water. Squeeze out and place on the site of discomfort.  Repeat regularly for 20 mins.  

Once done put a few drops of lavender EO undiluted onto the sore spot to promote healing, ease pain and lessen bruising.  

Exercise elevates the mood, promotes relaxation and restful sleep.  

Even a brisk hike in a country environment can dramatically improve our health and restore energy and vitality. 

We breath better quality air and our senses experience the peaceful sights, sounds and scents of nature. 

Swimming is also excellent as this is a supportive form of exercise, no strain on sore joints or muscles but allows for the use of virtually all muscle sets at once.  

Exercise , one of the most important ways of attaining or increasing vitality.  

Exercise tones the muscles, including the heart and respiratory system. It stimulates the immune system and increases the body's ability to detoxify itself by improving circulation and lymphatic flow. 

As we head into winter we all need an immune system boost and often have to deal with sinus and congestion due to change of season pollen.  Develop good breathing habits.  

Inhaled vapors encourage deep breathing and relaxation.  


Congestion reliever

A spicy, warming combination to relieve congestion and boost immunity and energy. 

2 drops Rosemary EO

1 drop Black Pepper EO

1 drop Ginger EO.

Add drops to a bowl of boiling water.   Place your head over the bowl covered with a towel to create a tent.  Breath in and out deeply for a few minutes.      You might need to blow your nose during this process while your sinuses are cleared.   Try to do this for 5 minutes at least.   You can repeat this process twice daily in times when congestion is really bad.
